FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A multisignature (Multisig) vault using a smart contract is a secure way to co manage and control digital assets, especially in the context of blockchain platforms like Ethereum.
Multisig require multiple wallets to authorize a transaction, adding an extra layer of security compared to traditional single-key wallets.
Multisig vault distributes control and risk among authorized parties, ensuring collective decision-making, providing protection against key compromise and preventing unauthorized transfers reducing the risk of a single point of failure.
A co signer is an authorized wallet allowing to submit or confirm an outside token transaction.
Co signers of the Multisig vault collectively manage funds by requiring a predefined number of wallet signatures to authorize transactions. Smart contracts programmatically enforce rules, and transaction history is transparently recorded on the blockchain.
Multisig Governance refers to the collective decision-making process in a multisignature (multisig) vault, where multiple co signers must agree to authorize transactions or any rule changes.
The owner set rules requiring a predefined number of signatures to validate transactions.
Decisions, such as fund transfers or changes to the wallet settings, are collectively made by obtaining the required number of signatures.
The only priviledge is to transfert the ownership of the Multisig Vault to another party wihtout compromising the governance of it.
The owner can only submit a transaction to other co signers, he has no right to confirm any transactions.
Yes. Each co signer can issue a demand to update his wallet which must be accepted by the minimum of the predifined number of sinatures.
Yes, multisignature vaults implemented as smart contracts allow for customization of rules and conditions, providing flexibility to align with specific organizational or regulatory requirements.
The co signers are paying to submit or confirm transaction. All agreements are recorded on chain to anchor it to the blockchain for transparency and liability reasons.
Multisig enhances security by requiring multiple wallets to authorize transactions. This mitigates the risk associated with a single compromised key and ensures that important decisions are made collectively.
If one key is compromised, the multisig setup remains secure as the attacker would still need additional authorized signatures to execute transactions. This reduces the impact of individual key compromises.
The co signer should immediatly update his wallet and ask co signers to confirm it rapidly.
Yes. We have recently audited it our last Multisig Vault version with Ominiscia.io you can check the report here.
The security remains our top priority.
All EVM Blockchain networks are compatible with our solution, but only major networks are proposed on our Free plan. To add a specific network contact us.
Major companies are running their own IT system (marketplace, exchange, e-commerce …) and they need to use Multisig Vault to secure and co-manage their digital assets automatically and safely.
Example: You are a financial platform holding funds, you want to be able to plug your platform to automatically manage the funds on it with your team, founders, partners or even users.
We are restraining the number of transactions submitted per minute for security reasons. This limit is customized with our Enterprise plan selected.
